• CV and Resume Data: Our core service involves helping you manage your job applications. To do this, we collect and store the resume files (e.g., PDF, DOCX) that you upload. This includes all personal data contained within those documents, such as your employment history, education, skills, and contact details.
• Job Application Data: We store information about the job applications you track, including job titles, company names, job descriptions, and application statuses.

B. Information Collected by the Browser Extension

• Job Posting Data: When you use the Applique browser extension to save a job, we collect information from the active web page. This is limited to the data relevant to the job posting, such as the job title, company name, location, and the full job description. This action is only performed when you explicitly click the extension button.

C. Information We Collect Automatically

• Usage Data: We may collect information about your interactions with our Services, such as which features you use, the pages you visit, and the dates and times of your visits. This helps us improve our product.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for various business purposes, including:

• To Provide and Maintain Our Services: To create and manage your account, store your job applications, and enable the core functionality of the CV generation and application tracking tools.
• To Power AI Features: Your uploaded Master CV is used as the source document for our AI-powered features. We send the text content of your CV, along with the details of a target job description, to a third-party AI service (Google's Gemini) to generate tailored resume content. We do not use this data to train the AI models.
• To Improve Our Services: We analyze usage data to understand how our users interact with Applique, allowing us to improve the user experience and develop new features.
• To Communicate With You: We may use your email address to send you important service-related announcements, such as updates to our terms or privacy policy.

3. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal data. We may share your information only in the following situations:

• With Third-Party Service Providers: We share information with vendors who perform services for us. This includes our hosting provider (Netlify), database provider (Google Firebase), and AI service provider (Google). These providers are bound by confidentiality agreements and are not permitted to use your information for any other purpose.
• For Legal Reasons: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g., a court or a government agency).

4. Data Security

We use a combination of technical, administrative, and physical controls to maintain the security of your data. We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit and at rest. While we take significant precautions, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. Therefore, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

• Delete: You can delete your Master CV or your entire account from within the application. Deleting your account will permanently remove your associated data from our systems.
